The Tower Heist is a Good Movie

The Tower Heist was a hilarious movie based on hard working guys who become victimized by a man running a Ponzi scheme. In order to rectify this they decide to rob the guy’s apartment. The movie was set in New York City set around the time when the Macy Day Parade takes place. The movie had good and bad attributes. The good attributes about this movie where the actors, and the comedy. The bad attributes same character style, and stereotypes.

The main actors where Matthew Broderick, Ben Stiller, Eddie Murphy, Alan Alda, Casey Affleck and Michael Peña. Matthew Broderick we all know from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off were he played Ferris Bueller a wise cracking guy who runs off with his friend and his girl to the city. His career has been quite good since then and this movie is no different. Ben Stiller we all remember from the Night at the Museum and his part in it was quite good. This movie his character the manager of the tower is pissed off because of the Ponzi scheme and he takes it out on the man. He is fired for this and comes up with a way to rob the tower. Ben stiller played the character quite well. However, I hate when he does his little face and makes they snide little remarks exactly like he did in the end credits of Meet the Parents. Enough is enough it was fun at first, but do you have to do it in every movie. The next actor is Eddie Murphy and he was quite good in this movie. Thank goodness he was good because his last few movies aren’t worth the disc their put on. However, the stereotype he played was a little overplayed and quite easily foreseeable in the movie. Come on be a little more obvious. Alan Alda also did well in this movie as the villain. We all remember him from MASH, well those with good taste. Though he played that fun loving guy he does real well as a villain. The next is Casey Affleck he is an okay actor and he has some good movies in the past. Oceans Eleven was one of them. However, his character in this movie was just wrong. He does better at eccentric characters and this character was more clueless. Someone who could have played it better would be Zach Braff from Scrubs. Finally Michael Peña was in it. He is quite a versatile actor and I believed he rounded out the cast.

Overall, I would recommend anybody to watch the movie. Just be sure you know what you are getting into. These actors work to fulfill our enjoyment and sometimes they don’t make it all the way.

Yeah, the cliches were obvious but the lines were so funny I didn't mind. Great hub!
